In their third match of the “LLB U13 Asia-Pacific Baseball Championship” currently held in Taiwan, Hong Kong faced off against baseball powerhouse Japan, who had entered the game on a two-match winning streak.
By the top of the 7th and final inning, the Hong Kong team found themselves in a seemingly impossible situation: trailing 9-12 by 3 runs, with two outs and the bases completely empty. Yet, against all odds, Hong Kong’s next 9 consecutive batters executed a spectacular rally of back-to-back hits and walks to explode for 6 runs, surging ahead into a 15-12 lead in one fell swoop.
Moving into the bottom of the 7th inning, Hong Kong successfully shut down Japan’s final counterattack, completing a truly breathtaking, miraculous comeback victory.
